Our faculty and instructors create innovative learning contexts to teach statistics to the 21st century student. We feature a wide variety of courses that offer students the opportunity to learn an array of statistical techniques and various statistical software programs. Our instructors use current and relevant data to ensure our students not only learn the theoretical contexts of statistics but also leave our courses with an understanding of how to practically use statistics in real-world contexts.

Several of our courses, such as SDS 302 and SDS 328, are part of the Course Transformation Project and feature cutting edge curricular designs such as a hybrid classroom model and learning projects. These innovative features allow students take responsibility for their own learning, as well as moving away from standard, lecture-based practices. In addition, several of our instructors are working at the cutting edge of learning technology to develop online versions of our traditional courses to reach an even wider range of students.
