Excel Data and Graphics - Short Course
Tuesday, October 03, 2017, 09:00am - 12:00pm
This course is intended to introduce new users to Microsoft Excel as a tool for managing, summarizing, and visualizing data, as well as conducting basic statistical analysis. It will cover topics such as using sorting and organizing data using filters, naming cells and cell ranges as a shortcut for functions, ‘if’ functions, matching data using built in functions, pivot tables and charts, editing charts and tables, and using built in features such for basic statistical analysis.

Note: The instructor will primarily be working from a PC and using the built in package the Data Analysis ToolPak. The computers in the lab are PCs as well. If you wish to follow along on a Mac computer you must have Excel version 2016. The functionality of previous versions of Excel (2010 for Mac and prior) is not the same and you will not be able to follow along without the latest version.
