Faculty requesting to host a visiting student or scholar through the department are required to submit a Visitor Request Form. Faculty should refer to the Statistics and Data Sciences Visitor Policy to determine how early a request should be submitted and administrative policies and procedures relating to SDS visitors.
The University of Texas at Austin requires the following items be submitted for departmental visitors when initiating a visitor request prior to any business process/appointment;
- Scanned image of a Government issued ID
- Current CV
- If applicable: PIF (Payee Information Form -required for reimbursement of any kind)
Please submit the above items, once the visitor request form has been completed. Missing documentation from the list above will result in delays in processing.
Please note: the International Office recommends that the request be initiated at least 3 months prior to the appointment/program start date for visiting scholars/students requiring a J Visa.
