2017 Summer Statistics Institute Volunteer Opportunity

18 January 2017—The Statistics and Data Sciences Department seeks energetic, statistics-oriented volunteers to help our instructors at the 2017 10th Annual Summer Statistics Institute (SSI) being held May 22–25, 2017. Even if you are graduating this spring, you are still welcome to join us for this event!

Each course needs at least one student volunteer to assist with taking attendance and being available if anything is needed by the instructor. Some courses may require help with technical details, such as helping participants install software or assisting participants in following instructor demonstrations.

All volunteers are required to arrive 30 minutes early to class each day and one hour early on the first day for training. As a volunteer, you will attend the class you volunteer for, receive a free lunch or breakfast on Monday, AND receive a super cool T-shirt!

Course descriptions can be found here.
If you would like to be a volunteer, please sign up by filling out this survey with the following information:

1. Your name and contact information

2. Up to three preferred courses. *Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will be placed in a preferred course.

3. Any software skills or statistical knowledge you might have

4. T-shirt size

Should any questions or concerns arise, please send them by email to camry.isaac@utexas.edu.
