Tell us a little bit about yourself—educational background, work experience, etc.

I received my PhD (Statistics) from Purdue University in 1985. I served on the faculty of the Division of Statistics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Northern Illinois University, from 1985 until 2015, also serving as the Director of that Division of Statistics from 2005 to 2013. I have engineered significant programmatic changes at all levels, B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. I launched a new BS (MATH - actuarial science emphasis) program in 2007 and achieved meaningful growth of undergraduate majors. I now have the privilege of serving as an adjunct faculty member here in the Statistics and Data Sciences Department at UT-Austin.
