The 2017 International Workshop on Objective Bayes Methodology, will hosted by the Department of Statistics and Data Sciences of the University of Texas at Austin Sunday, December 10 through Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

The program will feature invited talks and discussions led by some of the leading researchers in Bayesian methods as well as a series of free tutorials taught by foremost experts.

O'Bayes 2017 is the 12th meeting in a series of workshops held to discuss recent developments in Bayesian methods for inference in increasingly larger scale scientific research problems.  Computational methods for objective Bayesian analysis are being developed at a rapid pace, starting with the introduction of the Gibbs sampler and related schemes in the 1990s, alongside the growth of statistical inference as the need to analyze larger and larger sets of data, requiring objective and robust consensus methods and approaches.
