Software Short Courses FAQs

1. Where are the courses located?

All courses are located in Peter T. Flawn Academic Center otherwise known as the FAC in room 101B.

2. Do I need to bring my own computer?

There are PC computers located in FAC 101B so there is no need to bring your own laptop. However, if you desire to bring your own, it is not a problem.

3. When will reminders be sent out?

Depending on what class you registered for, reminders go out at different times. Reminders will usually go out the Friday before the class you are registered for meets. So if you are registered for Introduction to Stata on Monday February 10, 2020 the reminder will be going out Friday February 7, 2020.

4.Do College of Natural Science graduate students get free courses?

Unfortunately the Department of Statistics is not able to give free courses to the graduate students of College of Natural Science. That is a different program.

5. Are there refunds? Can I switch my class? What happens if I can not make my class?

Refund Policy: Once a course has been purchased, and the seat has been reserved by the participant, there will be no refunds or substitutions.

6. What happens if my class gets canceled?

If there is a cancellation there is either a choice to reschedule with a makeup class, switch classes, or get a full refund. This is the only case where a full refund is offered.
