Biography
Yuing Yao joined the University of Texas at Austin in 2024. Previously, he was a research fellow at the Flatiron Institute. His research focuses on Bayesian methodology, such as model evaluation and averaging, and scalable computation in statistics, such as MCMC, variational inference, and simulation-based inference. He apply statistical modeling to various fields such as environmental health, social science and physics.
