Now Accepting Applications for Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty Positions

The Department of Statistics and Data Sciences (SDS) at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenured/tenure-track faculty positions starting in Fall 2025.  Candidates with theoretical, computational, and application-driven research programs in all areas of statistics and machine learning will be considered. Applicants whose research programs broadly align with the themes of scientific machine learning and/or generative AI are especially encouraged to apply, as multiple SDS positions in these areas may be available through UT Austin’s Cluster Hiring Program in AI and Data Analytics (AI+DA).  Candidates who are particularly well suited to the AI+DA cluster hiring program will be given the option to be considered for this opportunity and may be asked to submit additional materials to the cluster hiring committee.  Alternatively, applicants may directly apply to the AI+DA Cluster Hiring Program searches involving SDS -- information on how to do so will be posted on the SDS website when this information is available.
