Entejar Alam and Yunshan Duan Receive First and Second Place Awards at the 2025 BOSS Workshop

Statistics and Data Sciences (SDS) Ph.D. students Entejar Alam and Yunshan Duan recently received first and second place for their posters at the 2025 Best of Statistical Science Workshop (BOSS 2025). BOSS 2025, hosted by the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M, brings together leading experts, faculty, and students for two days of engaging discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities.
Entejar, who won the first place award, presented his poster titled "DPGLM: A Semiparametric Bayesian GLM with Inhomogeneous Normalized Random Measures.” This is a joint work with SDS Professors Paul Rathouz and Peter Mueller. Read the abstract here.
Yunshan, who won the second place award, presented her poster titled “Spatially Aligned Random Partition Models on Spatially Resolved Transcriptomics Data.” This is a join work with Shuai Guo, Hao Yan, Wenyi Wang, and SDS Professor Peter Mueller.
