Arya Farahi receives Google Award for Inclusion Research

Arya Farahi, assistant professor for the Department of Statistics and Data Sciences, and Danai Kourtra, Morris Wellness Associate Professor at the University of Michigan, were selected to receive the Google Award for Inclusion Research Program for their proposal "Reducing Disparity in Resource Allocation: The Case of Mobility Infrastructure in the City of Detroit."

The Google Award for Inclusion Research Program recognizes and supports academic research in computing and technology that addresses the needs of historically marginalized groups globally. The funds granted will be up to $60,000 USD and are intended to support the advancement of the professor’s research during the academic year in which the award is provided.
