Once you submit the above online form, you must email the following documents to Dr. Bindu Viswanathan at bindu@austin.utexas.edu in order to finish your application:
- A signed statement (1-2 sentences) from your thesis or graduate program advisor stating their approval of you entering the portfolio program.
- Your own written statement (1 paragraph) about how this portfolio would contribute to your overall academic goals.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to apply early in their course of graduate study. If applying before completing the first semester as a graduate student, the student must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0. If applying after completion of at least one full semester as a graduate student, the student must have a minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0.
Depending upon the student's degree program, courses taken towards the portfolio may or may not count towards their degree.
